KRIYA YOGA studies with Arley Gaines

In-depth Analysis of Lahiri Mahasaya’s comments on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Lahiri Mahasaya taught Kriya Yoga to Hindus, Muslims & Christians. Until age 33 he lived an ordinary worldly life. However, circumstances took him to the Himalayas, where he was able to kindle realizations in his previous lifetimes & where he experienced the bliss of Samadhi. His guru directed him to return to his worldly life to teach Kriya Yoga….thus, the beginnings of Kriya Yoga.

Each class consists of readings from Lahiri, Arley’s comments & a meditation.

Vinyasa 101

Sunday, Feb 26th

This workshop will provide the basics needed for a flowing, comfortable and solid practice of Vinyasa Yoga.

We will first explore the four poses that compose the Vinyasa transition: Down Dog, Plank, Chatturanga & Up Dog.

We will then delve into the four cornerstones of a complete Vinyasa practice:

  • Cultivating stability & presence, in & between the postures
  • Linking breath to movement
  • Focusing the eye & stilling the mind
  • Balancing Yin & Yang, effort & surrender.

Workshop led by Toi Lynn Wyle.

Toi Lynn, MS, MFT, ERYT has taught yoga for 11 years, weaving into her classes over 23 years experience in body/mind healing as a Somatic Psychotherapist, Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, Reiki Practitioner and Thai Yoga Therapist.  Toi Lynn teaches with passion and  humor, encouraging students to open their bodies and minds to the transformative power of yoga.
