Gwen Harris

July, 2002

Gwen Harris says it was luck that connected her with Bikram’s Yoga. “I was lucky to drive by the studio and see the sign.” “Lucky,” she says, because Bikram’s has been a “tremendous gift” that has brought her “strength” and “vitality”—both very much appreciated by a busy mother of three who also holds down two jobs. “Lucky,” she says, because it has given her a new “alignment”—no small feat given that Gwen has had scoliosis (an unnatural curvature of the spine) since she was a young girl. “I’ve have never felt this good,” Gwen marvels. “I feel straighter than I ever have.”

Gwen practices Bikram’s four to five times a week, attending the 7:00am class then driving straight to work. It’s hard for her sometimes, but worth it—given how good she feels. “Just the other day, my family and I were discussing things we were most grateful for, and I told them I was most grateful for Bikram’s.”

It’s hard to know if it’s pure luck that brings us together to practice Bikram’s, but we can join Gwen in feelings of gratitude for the improvement it has made in all of our lives.
