Who we are
Being Yoga was formed in 1998 and has been operating in the same general location since that time. Originally founded as a Bikram studio, the class offerings have been expanding to include a variety of yoga styles beyond Bikram-inspired hot yoga. Several of our instructors and staff and many of our Students have been with Being Yoga for a very long time which helps us foster a sense of community and family.
We strive to be open, inclusive, fair and non-judgmental as we seek to attract a diverse group of people to practice in our Studio.
Our physical space is an integral part of who we are. The design of our Studio is simple, yet expansive, very clean but also warm and inviting. We are centrally located with abundant parking and nearby services, yet somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of being in the middle of town.
What we offer
We offer a variety of yoga styles ranging from Bikram-inspired hot yoga (90 minutes and 60 minutes) to active, non-heated classes (vinyasa/flow and power) to more relaxing, therapeutic styles (Yin, Gentle, Restorative and Nidra). Our schedule is dynamic and fresh, so check it frequently to see our most current offerings.
We also introduce new class styles for our Students to experience. We offer classes throughout the day and night, starting as early as 5am, and as late as 8:30pm, depending on the day of the week. Our goal is to offer a diverse selection of classes to meet differing needs, and to encourage Students to try practices outside of their comfort zone to expand their horizons.
