The practice of Yoga is meant for everyone regardless of age, body type, athletic ability, or prior experiences. Yoga practitioners come in all shapes and sizes.

Physically tight people will receive great benefits from the postures even if they are only able to attempt the movements. Over time, everyone will see progress being made as the body and mind begin to relax.
The heat serves several purposes. First, it helps relax and loosen tighter muscles which assists in opening up the body during the practice.
Some people like to compete against themselves or others so they naturally take Yoga on as a competition. For others this isn't be the case. Yoga is a practice, and as such can teach acceptance in the present of what one can and cannot do in the moment.
The physical practice of Yoga is of course exercise. However the entire practice of Yoga includes mental, emotional, spiritual and community exercises, which are meant to create awareness and balance in our selves in order to live more satisfying and meaningful lives.
Yes! Learning to observe our patterns may feel overwhelming at first, because most of us are so busy we run on autopilot. This makes life seem easier and more efficient but may create behaviors that are not healthy. Awareness creates choice. If you are being honest with yourself about where you are and what you can and cannot do, you are practicing Yoga.

No. Drop ins are welcome. However, since our classes have size limits for your comfort and safety, reservations are available to ensure you will have a space in class. See Reservation Policies.
There is a minimum of 16 years for heated classes. For non-heated classes, the child should be able to stay on their mat during the duration of the class, so as not to disrupt others.
Class card and membership expiration dates CANNOT be extended.
Unlimited Memberships cannot be placed hold, so try to take into account upcoming travel and vacations when making purchases. If you experience an unexpected medical condition, after purchasing the membership, that makes yoga unsuitable, please send us a Doctor’s note stating that practicing yoga would not be advisable in their view and stating the period of time they would anticipate you will need before you would be able to resume a yoga practice.

Class Cards are issued in the name of individual Students and, therefore, classes CANNOT be shared or transferred to anyone else.
Autopay Memberships can only be set up by emailing the Studio at firstname.lastname@example.org. These memberships require that the first and last month be purchased up front and subsequent charges will be processed on the same date for each of the following months of the Membership until the final month. A valid credit or debit card needs to be stored in your Being Yoga account for future charges.
